STEP 2: TOUR the village at woods edge

Experience our beautiful campus firsthand and learn about the life enrichment opportunities we offer. Explore our cottages and apartments and chat with residents.

STEP 3: Select and Secure your home

If the floor plan and home you love is available, you may take the leap to secure your home and begin plans for move-in. If it is not currently available, then you can join our Advantage Club waitlist to reserve your place in line for your favorite floor plan.

STEP 4: review and sign agreement

Once your preferred floor plan becomes available and you're ready to commit to an available cottage or apartment, you’ll have a chance to review floor plan details, pricing, and renovation options. From there, you will then complete a residency agreement to secure your new home.

STEP 5: prepare your move

The wait is over! Leave the heavy lifting to us as our team partners with your movers to make the process seamless. All that’s left for you is to get ready to enjoy your next stage of retirement at The Village at Woods Edge.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the qualifications for Independent Living?
There are three primary benchmarks to qualify for residency in independent living at The Village. The first is the Age Requirement. You must be at least 62 years old. Under the Housing for Older Persons Act (HOPA), you must provide proof of age using official documents like a driver’s license, passport or birth certificate.

The second is the Health Evaluation Requirement. You must be independent and able to "walk in" to an independent living residence on your own. Our health screening includes a medical history review, a current medication check, a doctor's statement and brief cognitive or physical assessments.

The third benchmark is the Financial Requirement. Our financial evaluation will assess whether your liquid assets, net worth, investments and predictable income streams will let you comfortably afford the cost of living here for the remainder of your life.

DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING

As a Southampton County native, I’ve found that Franklin’s small town charm is something that cannot be duplicated. I began working with The Village at Woods Edge in 2014 and much of my experience prior to senior living was in the not-for-profit and tourism industry. My favorite part of my “job” is helping people find their home at The Village and in Franklin. I feel fortunate my career allows me to be a part of so many people’s lives and make so many people’s days brighter.
