What are my Independent Living options at The Village?



We offer your choice of a luxurious private cottage or apartment. If you’re looking for a spacious home with modern touches, our two- and three-bedroom cottages offer an independent lifestyle like no other. In addition to a wealth of amenities, our floor plan choices include single-car garages, screened-in porches, front and back patios, and sunrooms. If apartment living is just the right size, our one- and two-bedroom apartments feature extra storage, landscaping, and modern touches such as stainless steel appliances and a balcony or patio. The Village at Woods Edge gives you everything you need in one place. Dining out is a great way to foster social connections and add structure to your day. Our full-service dining room offers an impressive menu of delicious, chef-prepared dishes.

Our menu combines standby favorites with a focus on low-salt, heart-healthy options, including fresh fruits and vegetables, soups and salads. Our on-site restaurant, The Back Porch & Grille, is known far and wide as a place for good food and great conversation. Do you offer a meal plan?



There are many superior services offered at The Village – including an array of dining options. Residents receive an allotted amount on their personal dining account, to spend however they like. Our resident dining room offers several daily selections of appetizers, entrees, sides and, of course, dessert. The BackPorch & Grille serves breakfast, lunch and dinner—and is a great place to enjoy cocktails with friends.

Do you offer fully furnished units?



Our apartments and cottages are presented as a blank canvas and customizable to taste. Our team is ready and willing to expedite your move-in process and assist with any assembly and customization you might require. For your convenience, we will be offering furnished apartments in our upcoming Respite wing in The Manor.

What if i'm not quite ready to move?



We understand the extensive planning that comes with moving so we've created the Advantage Club Priority Program to help. For a $1,000 refundable deposit, you can center in our program to receive priority placement in and Independent Living apartment or cottage when it becomes available. Is The Back Porch & Grille open to the public?



Although we offer priority seating to our residents, we are proud to serve the wider community as well. We believe that memories and bonds are formed at the table over a home-cooked meal. What health services are available?



Our Independent Living residents have peace of mind knowing health care and other levels of care are available should they need them. Our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods allow residents to stay in the community they love, and provide 24-hour care, specialized services for Alzheimer’s and dementia, medication management, around-the-clock security and more.

Additionally, residents have access to Short-Term Rehabilitation right on campus and Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care options right next door. Should the need ever arise, our team at The Village can connect you and your family with a long-term care facility to offer a smooth transition.

How does a non-profit community benefit me as a resident?



As a non-profit community, we ensure our residents and their families that every dollar earned, is a dollar spent back on the improvement of our grounds. For over 35 years, we've been dedicated to growing and improving our community to improve the lifestyle, amenities and opportunities for our seniors.

How do your fees work?



Our first priority is to make sure you’re making the best financial decision for you. Our sales team is here to guide you through the decision-making process, comparing your current expenses to what is covered by The Village. As a not-for-profit organization, we are able to offer an incredible value because we are able to re-invest profits into the community.

We have two sets of fees for our community. The first is an entrance deposit, a portion of which is refundable. Then we have a monthly service fee, which has some flexibility in the monthly expenses based on what works best for you. Our sales team can walk you through what is covered and how that compares “apples to apples” to your current living expenses.
